Debra Wilson is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Vertex Financial where she manages the portfolio operations and underwriting departments.

She has worked in the commercial finance industry for over 22 years, holding progressively more responsible positions with four different commercial finance companies.

Debra has a rather unique record in that she has managed a portfolio of 8m-12m dollar portfolio over the past seven years with total write-offs of less than 50k. With an extensive range of formal training and experience in commercial credit and collections, auditing, and financial management, Debra was well-suited to be the author of the "Factoring Operations Manual" -- written specifically for the factoring industry.

Her comments about writing the manual were "There are certain procedures that are a must to be safe in this industry. It is not rocket science but there are policies that have to be followed or you will experience a loss that can be devastating to a company. I wanted to provide the industry with a standard and "best practices" manual to ensure that losses are kept to a minimum. When anyone takes a loss, the industry as a whole suffers. I love this industry and would like see everyone be a success."

Debra is a current board member of "The Finance Forum", past board member of the International Factoring Association" and past board member of the Dallas chapter of the "National Funding Association" Additionally, she has been a featured speaker and panel speaker at numerous factoring and finance conventions.
